Guernsey patois for Beware! Girls
The Mums of Anarchy was founded in 2014 by five Guernsey mums who ride motorcycles, as an encouragement for females to socialise through biking. They regularly meet for ride-outs, inevitable gossip, with tea and cake on the side. Living and riding around the stunning island of Guernsey, the second largest of the Channel Islands, located between the coasts of England and France, fund raising is at the heart of what they do.
Helping Jonah – Helping Others has assisted several Guernsey families with boat fares and air fares, travel expenses and living expenses which many families face when having to go off Island to support their children. This helps ease the burden of additional costs at such an already difficult and traumatic time. Sam, pictured below was diagnosed in November 2017 with acute myeloid leukaemia and bravely faced a bone marrow transplant in February 2018. This is a recent picture of Sam, now aged 14.
He is doing really well.
Founder member Mum of Anarchy, Jayne Packham, had the idea to raise funds by organising a charity calendar. Enlisting the help of her biker friends to model, sharing their passion for biking and using Guernsey as a stunning backdrop she's created a series of charity calendars, all proceeds are donated to Helping Jonah - Helping Others. This year, a number of skilled photographers have gifted their time to capture the essence
of the Mums of Anarchy in their exciting new calendar.
